NC Concealed Carry Handgun Instruction and FFL Transfers

Safety

Firearms training is not only about shooting accurately but also about being safe and understanding the “Universal Gun Safety Rules” when handling firearms. My training and experience over the past 15 years has helped me understand just how important training is; especially to new shooters. While nothing will eliminate accidents, proper instruction helps reduce the potential of accidents and reinforces appropriate gun handling skills. Even for experienced shooters, additional training is a good tool for helping to emphasize skills that may have been lost over time.

Certified Trainer

Individual shooting skills can be learned or improved upon for a variety of reasons; personal defense, shooting competitions, leisure hobby, or as a relaxing way to build self-confidence with your handgun. A certified handgun instructor will help improve your knowledge of state laws, safe gun-handling habits, marksmanship fundamentals, and be able to explain and demonstrate safety features as well as specialized features of your specific firearm.

Why Firearms Training by a Certified Instructor

I established my business in 2010 after seeing what I thought was an opportunity for me to use my passion and skill for both firearm safety and personal protection to bolster the number of legally armed citizens in the surrounding counties.  As a small business owner, I wanted to deliver the best possible instruction as I could so I specialized in Concealed Carry Handgun Training.  In order for me to offer the best instruction I obtained the NRA "Range Safety Officer" and "Pistol Instructor" Certifications.

In order to stay abreast of the current safety and training instructions, I am a member of the National Rifle Association and the North Carolina Chapter of the NRA.

I obtained my Federal Firearms License (FFL) to  offer an additional service for past and current students as well as others the ability to easily and legally transfer guns from on-line purchases, friends or family.  My vision is to provide everyone with the confidence one needs to safely  for studen own and operate a fire arm.  Safety is primary in all my classes and that is why I offer the concealed carry classes.

There are four basic rules all gun owners need to follow:

          1.  Treat all guns as if they are loaded,

          2.  Always keep your gun pointed in a safe direction,

          3.  Know your target and what is beyond the target, and

          4.  Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.

We will re-enforce these basic rule both in the classroom and on the range.  The concealed carry permit requires 8 hours of classroom instruction with an exam to illustrate your understanding of the instruction, and a live fire qualification on the range.
